Code 3 Rescue Coffee and Tea is proud to announce that a percentage of all sales will be donated to 1st Responders Children Foundation

The First Responders Children's Foundation (FRCF) is a national nonprofit organization that provides financial support, scholarships, and mental health counseling to the children and families of first responders who have been injured or lost in the line of duty, or are facing significant financial hardship. Founded in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks—where more than 800 children lost a first responder parent—the organization has since grown into a nationwide charity supporting the families of police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and 911 dispatchers. The foundation operates several key programs to support these families:
Scholarship Program: Provides educational funding for undergraduate, graduate, and trade school studies, prioritizing children of first responders who have died or been permanently disabled in the line of duty.
Mental Health Support: The Resiliency Program offers free, confidential counseling to help children cope with the unique stressors, traumas, and dangers associated with their parents' line of work.
Bereavement & Financial Grants: Provides financial assistance to families experiencing severe hardship due to tragic circumstances, illness, natural disasters, or a line-of-duty death.
Community Programs: Operates initiatives like the Toy Express (delivering free toys during the holidays) and Junior Cadet/Advocacy Camps that build positive relationships between children and local first-responder.

K -Cups vs. Coffee Capsules

☕ K-Cups vs. Coffee Capsules — What’s the Difference? ☕
We get asked this a lot at Code 3 Rescue Coffee & Tea so here’s the simple breakdown:
🔹 K-Pods / K-Cups
These are the small plastic cups made for Keurig-style coffee makers.
You place them in the machine, close the lid, and brew a regular cup of coffee fast and easy.
🔹 Coffee Capsules
These are usually smaller aluminum or plastic capsules made for espresso-style machines like Nespresso.
They brew a stronger, richer espresso-style coffee instead of a full cup.
☕ Easy way to remember:
• K-Pods = regular coffee maker pods
• Capsules = espresso machine pods
At Code 3 Rescue Coffee & Tea, we know long shifts don’t leave time for confusion — just good coffee that keeps you going when the tone drops. 🚑🔥👮☕🇺🇸

How to Taste and Smell Coffee like a Pro

Great coffee is more than caffeine - It's an experience. 1. Start with the aroma. Before taking a sip, smell the coffee deeply. You may notice hints of chocolate, nuts, fruit, caramel, spice, or even smokey notes depending on the roast and origin. 2. Take a small sip. Let the coffee move across your tongue. Notice if it tastes bold, smooth, sweet, rich, bright, or earthy. 3. Pay attention to the body. Some coffees feel light and crisp while others are thick and creamy. Every region tastes different. Coffee beans grown around the world develop unique flavors based on climate, soil and roasting style. At Code 3 Rescue Coffee & Tea, we believe every cup should fuel your shift and wake your senses.
